Winfield Emergency Services Make Safety Recommendations
For Walnut Valley Festival 2011 Line Up
The Winfield Police and Fire Departments have been in contact with the Walnut Valley Association promoters to make a change in the line up process for the opening of the campgrounds for use during the Walnut Valley Festival.
It has been strongly suggested that beginning this year, bicycles and golf carts will be discouraged from being allowed to join the line up to enter the festival campgrounds when they open. This change has been made due to safety concerns regarding the amount of traffic that is moving in multiple directions during the move into the campgrounds.
As a result Winfield City and Walnut Valley Festival workers will not recognize bicycles or golf carts as a part of this year’s Walnut Valley Festival line ups.
