Third place was won by a full-time musician and recording artist who hails from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. Ewan Dobson has been playing the instrument for some 20 years and just recently won the Canadian Guitar Festival Competition. His grandfather gave him his first guitar at an early age. In addition to the guitar, Ewan says he plays mandolin a little and if it is like his guitar playing I’ll bet it is good. Ewan is a tall handsome individual who considers himself a fitness nut. He has a new CD coming out in December 2009 on Candyrut Records. Watch for it! Ewan takes back to Canada the 3rd Place Trophy and a Triggs Flattop Acoustic Guitar by Jim and Ryan Triggs of Lawrence, KS.
