ACOUSTIC KIDS 2011… Be Part Of The Legend!

The Acoustic Kids program has been a Walnut Valley Festival event since 1991. Over the years, it has acknowledged and encouraged hundreds of talented young performers and even helped to launch a few careers. It has been covered internationally in the press and studied as a model workshop by other music festivals.

Once again this year the Walnut Valley Festival will offer the Acoustic Kids Talent Showcases. THESE ARE NOT CONTESTS! They are opportunities for young pickers and singers (through age 16) to perform on the Festival stage. Accompanists may be any age. Interested young musicians, beginner through pro, should send an application form and a tape, CD, or DVD of two to four pieces to: Swift River Music, P.O. Box 231, Gladeville, TN 37071. To submit electronically, send MP3 files of two to four pieces and the completed application (as a PDF, text, or Word document) to andy@andymay.com. DEADLINE: August 25, 2011. Space is limited and selected performers will be notified by August 31, 2011.

Those selected to perform will be notified by August 31, 2011. Please include a demo tape, CD, or DVD of 2-4 tunes/songs. Submit a separate form for each child who would like to perform.
