Roz has been playing folk music and entertaining at gatherings and festivals around the country since 1975. If you're one of those fanatic fans of festival fun, you've seen Roz Brown around the Festival for years and years. Roz wears a couple of hats in his role at the Walnut Valley Festival each year; he slips between performer and emcee with ease, and his hat would definitely be one of his trademarks, along with his easy-going grin, and his extensive knowledge of folk music.
Roz's autoharp delights audiences of all ages with his unique blend of music at folk festivals and other types of music gatherings not only in his home state of Colorado, but also around the country. He has appeared at the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum in California, the Western Music Festival in Arizona, the Silver Dollar City Music Festival in Branson, MO, the Australian Folk Festival and many, many more.
Prairie songs, cowboy songs, traditional songs and homemade songs all constitute the focus of his sets. His ability to add a bit of history and folklore to his extensive repertoire of over 400 songs, makes Roz's sets a real education as well as top notch entertainment and that makes him an entertainer for all ages whether it's five seniors in a nursing home or hundreds of children in a school assembly or a folk festival stage.
