Festival Rules
Festival rules apply when the campground opens!
ON GROUNDS, INCLUDING THE CAMPGROUNDS, MUST HAVE A CURRENT WRISTBAND. EACH PERSON MUST HAVE A WRISTBAND ON YOU ANYWHERE ON GROUNDS.

Security:

When you enter the festival grounds, you are subject to a search of your person, including handbags or backpacks, and your vehicle. If you object to a search, DO NOT ENTER. Searches are conducted at the entry, reentry, interior gates and at the campgrounds. NO DRUGS, BEER, ALCOHOL OR ANIMALS ALLOWED. THIS MEANS DOGS, CATS OR PETS OF ANY KIND. Dog Boarding information

Emergency Medical Services:
- EMT's will be located at the south end of the grandstand in a trailer. The hours are:
- Thursday: 8am to midnight
- Friday: 8am to 1am
- Saturday: 8am to 1am
- Sunday: 8am to 5pm

Ice:
- Ice is available at the North Interior gate. Ice trailer runs daily through campgrounds.

Sales of craft items and instruments:
- All sales of craft items and instruments have been prearranged through our Craft Director, and will be on display in the Crafts Area near the grandstand. NO SALES of craft items, instruments, recordings, or food or services will be allowed anywhere on the grounds unless authorized by the Walnut Valley Association, Inc.

Lost children and lost property:
- Please check at the Information Booth under the grandstand for lost children, and other lost and found items.

Radios, stereos, and other loud devices:
- Your campground neighbor would appreciate no loud noises in the campgrounds after midnight in order to get a good night's sleep. Car radios and tape decks must be turned off after midnight. Be considerate: NO LOUD RADIOS OR STEREOS AT ANY TIME. Persons causing a disturbance will be removed from the grounds with NO refund.

Parkin' lot pickin':
- There will be parkin' lot pickin' all night. This is why many festival folks like to camp out. As long as this type of music is played, we do not expect that to disturb anyone.

Firewood:
- Firewood is available for purchase near the showers ONLY. Dry wood is available in order to keep the smoke to a minimum.

Campfires:
- The Walnut Valley Festival has accepted the following regulations of the Winfield Fire Department which will permit the use of campfires and solid fuel cooking appliances at the Festival:
- Fire Lanes will be maintained and kept open at all times.
- Campfires will be maintained within a 3 ft. diameter metal fire ring. No fire pits or bonfires permitted and campfires may not be left unattended. Bring your fire rings or there will be some at the gate for purchase.
- The use of loose straw or woodchips will NOT be permitted in camp.
- Fire extinguishers or one gallon steel containers of water to be kept immediately available for emergency use at all times.
- Hot charcoal only disposed of in metal barrels provided that are marked "Hot Charcoal Only", or will be thoroughly soaked with water before emptying from the grill.
- No flammable liquids (gasoline or Coleman fuel) to be used to start campfires.
- No open flame patio torches permitted.
- Commercial vendors using grills or smokers must have fire extinguishers present at all times.

Port-a-Johns:
- Please report any port-a-johns needing service to the Information Booth.

Lineup

We will honor NO line prior to 7:00am August 21. Line forms at fairground entrance off 14th Ave.
WVA will collect for the Festival and give line-up numbers beginning 7:00am September 6.
- Land Rush

Land Rush begins at 7am Thursday, Sept. 11. This is the time that Full Festival ticket holders may enter the campgrounds, set up their campsites, and begin camping. Early arrivals will pay city fees of $7 per day, or $12 with electric, while available, to line up and wait for Land Rush. September 6-10 camping fees will be paid at the time of arrival through Sept. 20th.

Camping fee:
- Camping fee is $7 per vehicle per day (limit of one camping permit per vehicle - extra permits are $7 per day). This includes the pecan grove and the entire fairgrounds camping area. Camping is only available to Full-Festival and 2-day ticket holders. Daily tickets are parking only. No roped areas without permits. Single day tickets are only good 6:00 am to midnight and do NOT entitle you to stay overnight in the campgrounds.

Electric Hookups:
- More than 800 electric hookups are available in the West Campground. The fee is $12 per day on a first come first served basis ($7 camping, $5 electric).

Handicapped camping and parking areas:
- Handicapped camping and parking areas are available. Inquire upon entry as to the location.

Showers:
- Showers are available on grounds. Please check the fairgrounds map for locations.

Skate boards, roller blades, bicycles:
- Because of the size of the crowd, NO skate boards, roller blades or bicycles will be permitted in the interior of the festival grounds.

Motorcycles and mopeds:
- Due to the noise, motorcycles and mopeds will not be permitted on grounds, but as a convenience to the owners, the Walnut Valley Association will provide a special parking area for these vehicles where they can be secured.
