Land Rush 2004 began at 7 am on Thursday, September 9. 850 camping vehicles participated in the 2004 Land Rush.

Steve Huston of Ponca City was first in line. Rick Meyer directed the traffic.

Rick gets out of the way as Steve Huston begins to move. The line begins moving Steve Huston moves forward. Steve Huston rounds the bend on "the point". After some course corrections, Steve Huston makes the sharp turn. Some of the early arrivals come up the midway. More vehicles come up the midway. They head toward the ticket booth. Campers arrive at the ticket booth and turn into the West Campground.
